Katie & Anna's Garden

I want to thank the Kotler Family for all the fun and Pea Patch Gardens referrals. Katie and Anna helped me plant two garden barrels with lots of yummy veggies to fill their tummies! We planted an herb garden with chives, oregano, thyme, parsley and rosemary. And, we planted a long row of summer and winter squash. Anna discovered a new taste for lettuce and confirmed her love and loyalty to broccoli… she leaned right over the plant and took a bite!

The Amazing Shelly's Barrel Garden

For her second year & second season of planting, The Amazing Shelly has planted beets, broccoli, peas and lettuce in her Pea Patch Garden barrel garden. YUMMY!

Congratulations to the Azose family on their new Pea Patch Garden. Thanks Dana and Pattie for all your help!

Madrona Garden

Some of Pea Patch Gardens projects are not in raised beds or barrels and go directly into the ground. This beautiful garden belongs to Dr. Bailey-Medwell & Dr. Medwell. We planted in early April for an early season planting of lettuce, kale, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, chard, peas, herbs, beets, carrots, radishes, herbs and more.  Thank you to my helper and friend Ingrid Leaders. Ingrid was a lifesaver on planting day!

Plant A Garden

According to the National Gardening Association,
a seventy-dollar investment in a vegetable garden will yield
six hundred dollars worth of food.

PLANT A GARDEN!

Dr. B's New Garden

April 12th was a beautiful day to plant a garden in Tacoma.  Dr. B. and I constructed an 8x4 raised garden in his back yard and 1/2 planted the bed with garlic, onions, carrots and lettuce.  We will be adding tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini when the weather warms up a bit.  Dr. B. also added a Pea Patch Garden Barrel outside his kitchen door.  Now his gourmet creations will include his own home grown organic & heirloom herbs.  Thanks for the help Dr. B. I had a great day building your garden!

First garden of spring 2010

I would like to thank the Strober-Cohen family for helping me plant the first garden of spring 2010. I know we have all been anxious for the weather to warm up so that we can confidently plant tender lettuce and early peas. Well friends, the time is here. Let the planting begin!

Today was sunny and warm; the perfect day to build raised garden beds & plant spring Pea Patch Gardens Veggie Babies. Thank you to Strober-Cohen’s for your help with construction, soil hauling & spreading, and even some veggie planting. What a great team!

Today we built two 4x 4 raised garden beds and filled them with peas, beans, lettuce, carrots, chard, beets, red cabbage, bok choi, and broccoli. Did I miss anything?
